Continuing Education
Carolina
Inspection
Training
was born out of a conversation between two North
Carolina home inspectors
one evening following an American
Society of Home Inspectors chapter meeting.
Travis Mumbulo and Lewis
Denton were discussing the North Carolina
requirements for continuing education.
Recognizing the need for quality instruction,
these former competitors combined their
resources to develop meaningful continuing
education courses.

Over the ensuing months
Travis and Lewis qualified themselves as
instructors with the North Carolina Home
Inspector Licensure Board. From the beginning
they used PowerPoint as a primary delivery
method for their presentations. Soon custom
videos, insulated concrete forms, heat pump
systems, and 90 percent efficiency gas furnaces
were added as training aids

Training
became a reality in 2001.
In response to class size
and to offer a more flexible schedule for
participants
a third instructor was added in
2005. Licensed Home Inspectors now have a choice
of four subjects to choose from, in addition to
two update (mandatory) courses at most of our
locations.
Our new Instructor, Donald
Duncan has over 10 years inspection experience
and is an experienced classroom Instructor. Don
has received great reviews from his students.

Each year hundreds of hours
are spent researching, developing, video taping,
editing, and preparing new courses for approval
before presentation. We are confident that you
will find our instructors experienced,
knowledgeable, and well prepared in presenting
rewarding valuable courses.
Pass The Exam Course
“Home Inspector Fundamentals”
In April 2004
Carolina
Inspection
Training
began providing training for students preparing
for the North Carolina Licensure Examinations.
This is a three-day 30 hour course (recently
upgraded from 24 hours). This is a PowerPoint
presentation full of illustrations and
photographs in addition to our hands on training
aids. We also provide the books. We enjoy
preparing our students for a future in the home
inspection industry and sharing in their success
when they pass the licensure exam.
